Case Study – Nansleden

Independent Slate Supplies are happy to be supplying natural slate to Nansledan, a Duchy of Cornwall site based in Newquay, Cornwall. Nansledan is a large urban expansion project spanning approximately 540 acres. During the development, Nansledan will gradually transform into a vibrant community comprising of over 4000 homes.

Nansledan will have a range of amenities, including shops, a school and public space, creating job opportunities for local people. It will include a variety of community gardens throughout the space. The land has been seeded to create more than 50 acres of wildflower rich grasslands.

The main objective at Nansledan is to have sustainable development with economic advantages that help local communities, and with architecture that intends to blend with the natural landscape. This is why natural slate from Independent Slate Supplies is perfect for the Nansledan development.
