Penrhyn Heather Blue

Penrhyn slate is produced from a fine grained slate deposit and is widely recognised for its exquisite heather blue / purple tones appearance.  This distinguished slate not only looks magnificent crowning historic buildings, it’s also extremely hardwearing and durable. 

Penrhyn slate originates from Snowdonia in Wales, extracted from one of the largest quarries in the world. The Penrhyn quarry has been distributing premium Welsh roofing slate for hundreds of years and producing from as early as the thirteenth century.

Technical Advice

 

This slate is available in 3 different grades Capital (thickness 5.5mm), County (thickness 7mm) and Celtic (thickness 9mm).  Your ISS representative will advise slate sizes and thickness best suited to your project.
